Two weeks ago, we were invited to attend a playdate with a Queens/Long Island mommy group, Mocha Moms, where we made chocolate molds at 5th Avenue Chocoloatiere in Valley Stream. This was a very exciting playdate for both the children and the moms. I mean, who doesn't love chocolate? Not only did we make our very own chocolate mold, but I sampled my very first chocolate covered pretzel. Who knew that sweet and salty tasted so scrumpdillyumptious? We learned about where chocolate comes from and even learned that some of the Caribbean parents in the room grew up with cocoa trees in their very own back yard! Can you imagine that? We were also given a private tour of the chocolate factory where we saw different types of molds. The one that sticks out to me was the chocolate leg made for one of NY's popular department stores. Who knew?
