Children's Carnival - Queens County Farm Museum

While it has been an extremely long time since my last post, I was excited when I ran across this delightful event approaching this weekend. I have never been to Queens County Farm and Museum, but I have heard it is quite fun. In my pre-mommy life, I worked for the world's largest indoor/outdoor museum, Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village, now called The Henry Ford. This was where I began my career in public relations and had a lovely time learning the ins and outs of the industry. I'll spare you the details of extremely long video shoots with "Homes Across America," "The History Channel," escorting Mickey Rooney and Dan Akroyd around the museum...oh, did I forget to mention being in the presence of Civil Rights icon, Rosa Parks during the unveiling of the iconic bus she rode which sparked the Civil Rights movement?

During one of the next two weekends, you just may find the family and I at Queens County Farm Museum celebrating their annual Children's Carnival, April 9 - 10, and 16 - 17. Many of the programs during the year remind me of my old job which is why I am so excited to expose my kids to it. What fun! Click here for details.
