Kindergarten Registration
District 13 is beginning its Kindergarten registration this week.  If you're zoned for Dever, Howell, Wheeler and Willow Elementary Schools, this is for you.  Details can be found on the School page.  Willow was without power last Friday so you may want to call to confirm before paying a visit.  If your child will attend Wheeler Elementary then you need to register at Willow.  I know.  Confusing, however that's the way they roll around here.  Your child must be 5 years old BEFORE December 2013, although the website appears to be wrong.  Click here for the registration packet BEFORE you register.  I'm just saving you a little time and heartache.  Spread the word!

Forest Road Elementary is hosting its annual Dance-A-Thon this Friday from 7 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.  What a great idea!

Broadhollow Theatre presents Pocahontas November 17 & 24 at the Elmont Public Library.  Show times are a 2 p.m. both days.  Tickets are $10 with advanced reservations and $12 at the door.  To make a reservation, call (631) 581-2700 or (516) 775-4420.  Next month's production is "Beauty & the Beast."

What happened to the days when Santa Clause didn't wake up until AFTER Thanksgiving Day?  Well, those days are gone because I just saw him at Roosevelt Field Mall and I hear he's stopping by Green Acres Mall beginning this Saturday.  Really?  Yes, really AND you can get a Fast Pass by clicking here.  Disney was a genius when inventing the Fast Pass.
