Deserving Women Receive Fashion Makeovers

From a medical student who recently lost 100-pounds who's now looking for new clothes -- to a single mother and out of work nurse, living in a shelter with her child and in need of clothes for job interviews -- to a husband/wife winning team who recently lost weight together -- to a fashion student drop out who went to work to help pay her parent's bills …

EACH AND EVERY WINNER OF THE CONTEST HAS A STORY TO TELL …
AND A WELL DESERVED NEED FOR A FASHION MAKEOVER!

Eleven Long Island, Queens and NYC residents are the very deserving winners of a fashion makeover contest held by the Green Acres Mall. The mall challenged people to write in and explain why they deserved to win a fall fashion makeover, will award each winner with a half-day makeover session at the Green Acres Mall with one of New York City's top fashion stylists, Denise Delise, plus a $200 gift certificate from Green Acres, to help pay for their new looks.

Winners

Evelyn Morales, a Valley Stream recycler and nature lover who is looking for new clothing to go with her new body weight and new, all-natural grey hair.

Cara Shapiro, a young mother from Cedarhurst, who dropped out of fashion school to help pay her family's bills, hasn't shopped in years and wants to dress fashionably while maintaining her religious traditions.

Heather Rozycki, a single mother and out of work nurse, living in a shelter with her child, looking for clothing for job interviews.

Dea Myers, a Valley Stream wife and former Valley Stream Mom of the Month, who together with her husband, is the only husband/wife team winner. Both Dea and her husband, Rob recently experienced weight loss.
