Saturday's are usually filled with parents running their kids from dance, soccer, tennis, and art classes. Many parents may not know that there is an alternative to the not-so-sports-inclined child. Hofstra University has an amazing program just for kids starting as early as 3 years old. Classes include courses in math, science, reading, writing, languages, enrichment, and test preparation. Over the summer, we enrolled our daughter in the Kindergarten math course. The course was $145 and taught her how to recognize patterns among many other things. She seemed to enjoy the class and I enjoyed shopping at nearby HomeGoods each Saturday during the 90 minute class.
